Donating Your Vehicle to Catholic Charities

Cars for KC Kids is a partnership between Catholic Charities in Missouri and Catholic Charities in Kansas. If you have a car or other vehicle you don't want anymore, but you still think it's worth something, you can donate it to Catholic Charities. We accept most vehicles and turn the gift into support for the needy in the community

The vehicle donation program is administered by Vehicles for Charity, a non-profit organization. Just call them toll free at 1-866-430-9499, or visit their website. They'll tell you what is required to transfer the title, and they'll make arrangements to pick up the vehicle. You can claim the value of the vehicle as a charitable contribution for tax purposes; they'll give you information on that as well.

What Your Donation Supports

Catholic Charities is a leading provider of social services to people of all ages, races and faiths. Each year, more than 200,000 people of all faiths come to Catholic Charities in need of assistance. The goal is to offer help and hope, and to move the client from a situation of poverty and anxiety to one of self-sufficiency and stability. This is done by providing a broad range of health and social programs, including:

• Emergency Assistance: housing, employment, utility assistance, food.

• Support for Children and Families: Adoption and services for pregnant women, teen parent support, foster care, Mother to Mother mentoring, early care and education for children including some with special needs, and Senior care and support.

• Health Care Services and Mental Health Counseling: Home health care, nursing care for infants and children in their home providing early health care intervention and education for new parents from low-income areas, hospice, and professional counseling to families and individuals. Quality of life is preserved by restoring the patient's dignity, choices and control.
